Aide PDF to DXF Converter is a simple and straightforward conversion tool that transforms your PDF documents into DXF AutoCAD files. Meant to be used mainly with images and illustrations saved as PDF files, the program offers specific output settings for this type of documents, thus producing high-quality graphics that can be then easily edited using AutoCAD.
The conversion process itself is just as simple and intuitive as the program’s interface. All you need to do is select any number of PDF documents and add them to the interface’s main panel. Then you can customize your output DXF files by modifying the various settings provided. These are divided into three main groups – general, input, and image PDF settings. The two first sets deal with more basic options, such as the number of pages to convert or the password required to open protected PDF files. It is the last tab the provides some more specific settings, aimed at transforming image PDF files into an image that CAD can understand and thus allow further editing. Here you can define the line type, customize the background color, and even extract the images embedded in the PDF document and save them separately in a different subfolder.
Regrettably, all these settings are applied equally to all the files on the conversion list, which may not fit all input PDF documents.
The conversion process itself is fairly fast and produces the expected results. One misses some basic information about the status of the conversion process – a simple progress meter would do the trick. This feature is really useful especially when converting many lengthy documents at once. This and a slightly more attractive GUI are the least one could expect from a software tool with a price tag of $180.
This application allows you to convert your PDF files to word doc for free.
